Paying for Events...

Mike Kenzie from Global Data Consultants wants to make sure that he gets the Right Customers to his event.

So, how is he going to do that?

Simple...set up an effective barrier to entry. Make people pay.

We'll see if it works, but here's what he has to say:

We were thinking of charging $12 to help weed-out the people that are just looking for a free lunch. How do we do that in MPE?

The answer from the MPE team. (mpeask AT microsoftpartnerevents.com)

In the MPE tool, there is no feature where you can directly bill your customers when they register for an event, however, I have talked to partners that use MPE and charge fees.

What they typically do is in the messaging for the event they state that there is a fee and that once you register you will be sent a bill.

Any guidelines and due dates they have they specify in the event messaging, sort of a small print at the bottom of the event description type thing.

Then the partner sends our invoices and does all the billing once people registered.

From the partners I have spoken to, this works really well, just makes sure all customers are aware that they will be sent a bill by putting it in your event description.
