Learn how to SEO with Bing to Google part 2

Werrwe interwesting...

The spearmint worked. That's all I have to say. Well, not really. About the talking part that is. This is Inoun we are talking about. But based on what I learn Ed from yesterday's article, besides that everyone loved it, is that Bing and Google clearly do SEO differently. I am no expert has been drip under pressure here on either one. Let's just be clear about that, but Google AdSense(tm) ranking and Bing AdCenter(tm), are well....different. Not just the interfaces, but in how ranking, stacking, result listing, relevancy, etc. are done. Everything. If you missed the first article on Bing and Google SEO, you can find it here.

A couple interesting things happened in our journey / venture into SEO with Google, Google with SEO, compared with Bing SEO, SEO in Bing yada yada land. First I will describe what Inoun learned and then what was left unanswered and is still the "magic" sauce of SEO.

What Inoun learned:

  • It is possible to write just one article that will place you in the top "anything" of the highly SEO competitive ad space.
  • Time is a big factor.
  • Focus is key.
  • As with everything, language is important.

Why the magic is, well..., still magic:

  • Everything just changed too much.
  • There are just too many moving parts.
  • Nobody cares.
  • And I am not happy about that.

So, let's talk about each one of these. Inoun was able to avoid any link "bomb Bing" activities and well, just write an article that was interesting and actually had something to do with SEO in both camps. And you really can get into the top 10 results. But tread with caution. Don't do dumb things and don't over do it. In other words. As I have said before. Don't be stupid. Add value.

Secondly. Write often. The reason I picked such a competitive set of words is because I wanted to see what each search engine did with them over time. I already knew what they did with some of my more boring topics and my current interest ones, but I also really wanted to know what they would do with them over time. And what would happen with some of the more linguistically interesting and competitive ones. A lot actually. Hot areas like learn how to Google SEO and SEO in Bing, are so competitive, that unless you are writing and adding value (or of course cheating), or spending a tonne o money, you are just not going to make it for very long. Think of it this way. Everybody wants their phrases to be at the top and so they will lie, cheat, steal and bribe to get themselves there. And do it to anyone they can. The smartest and more interesting thing to do is, well, like I have said before. Write. And write something of value. And often. Inoun was able to get into the top 10 results by adding something that people were interested in. And over time, that interest will diminish, and someone else will then allowed to present their ideas. And I think that is the correct way to do it. Besides it is free. Without all of the stupidity.

Everything changed too much. "Inoun, what did you expect?" It really was very interesting to watch. For a given SEO phrase, I went from position 87 to 4 to 3 to 23, to 7, to 6. Then sat there for a while, and then started going down over time. This is something I did not expect. It was also very geographical in nature. I have some theories on why it bounced around so much, but that pontification will have to wait for another day.

So, moving on with the billowy, windy, blowing oration. The most interesting thing, to me anyway, was that Bing and Google are clearly werwy, werwy different. Between both of them, I was all over the map. One phrase was great on Google, and it was horrible on Bing. Another one was great on Bing, but didn't even make it on the map with Google. I have some very interesting theories brewing on this, but, alas, sadly, until I write much, much more, we won't know for sure. If you just can't stand the wait, drop me a line, I will boost your relevancy in the Inoun SEO article learning stack, and would be happy to pontificate about it in a future article.

But for now. Nobody seems to care. I mean this in the nicest way possible. SEO is interesting fur shure. But even with the very high ranking scores, and the opportunity to have access to 100's o Thousands o hits, very few people seemed to care. Other rightings and sightings of Inoun seemed to be much more interesting to many, many more pee pole. I don't know if it is because they don't much not care about the subject, or if they don't really care to learn about how to it the write way. My fear is the latter. And rather than obsess over it Wright now, and fret over stupid SEO link bombing lame soiled green legacy Tron CCCBLF bean counter propeller head types, I am going to just stop right now.

Later.

P.S. Some common phrases used in the previously briliant very entertaining funny article but high rankingly lame SEO yada yada article were:

seo with google

google and seo

seo to google

seo tips

the seo

how to seo

seo how to

bing webmaster

My suggestion? Learn from stupid.

Inoun

And I am not one bit happy about that.
