Introducing the newest member of the Microsoft Fix it family, Microsoft Product Support Reports (MPSReports) . MPSReports collects general system configuration information for IT and Support Professionals to use in troubleshooting support issues with Microsoft Windows, Exchange, and SQL Server.

 

How to download MPSReports

To use MPSReports, first verify your environment and determine whether you are logged on with an administrator account. Then download the correct package for your environment:

How to use MPSReports

After you download MPSReports, just run it and follow the steps in the wizard to collect diagnostic information.

Step 1. Select computer

Select This Computer to collect diagnostic information.

Note To download Microsoft .NET Framework or Powershell requirements to install on another computer, select Another Computer.

Step 2. Select diagnostics

Select the diagnostics that you want to run.

Wait for diagnostic data to be collected

The data collection may take some time, depending on your system configuration.

Step 3: View, save, or e-mail the results

Select what you want to do with the results.

    MPS Reports was retired in 2013. The Microsoft Support Diagnostics Self-Help Portal is the new diagnostics service. It not only automates the collection of diagnostics data for you, but it also analyzes the collected data and automatically identifies root causes for known problems using pattern recognition, call stack analysis, and problem signature detection logic that is maintained by Microsoft's support engineers.

    This is a great idea, albeit I've not found the tool I need to fix my O. E. 6 "new message problem". Upon opening a "new mail" in O.E. 6 a partial page opens with the top of the page showing ok and the bottom showing whatever is already open at that time. Did all the problems with O.E. pop up suddenly? because I don't remember anything previously being wrong. Thanks for your help Mary

    Good improvement in the tool!  Is there an easy way to view the results?  When I open the XML file it opens in IE, and appears to have formatting instructions in the code but simply shows raw XML code.

    after downloadin sevral reg keys still no luck, then came this fixit .     worked 1st time and no restart required a++++++

    Monseiur,Madame, Je rencontre un sous ci avec explorer 8 a chaque fois je veux voir un film sur le site www.filmze.me/.../index.php ce impossible de arrive il me fait installe un autre logiciel sens blame adob Player avec un virus compris lors de impossible de fer installation ce arret automatique

    Hi, I tried to download the links to the MPS Reports, but all and everywhere else are not working and are marked as File Not Found. Even from the Microsoft Download site. Is there something wrong or is there an alternative link available?
