Visual Studio 11 Beta and .NET 4.5 is now available!
With the availability of Windows 8 Consumer Preview comes a new edition of Visual Studio and the .NET Framework. February 29 also became the day that Visual Studio 11 Beta, Team Foundation Server 11 Beta, and .NET Framework 4.5 Beta was released. You can go to the Visual Studio 11 Beta Download page to get the bits today. If you’re an active Visual Studio with MSDN user, you can get the bits directly from the MSDN download page.
There are a lot resources already online about this release from blog announcements to Channel 9 video walk-throughs, I recommend you start with Soma’s and Jason Zander’s blogs. Then head over the Channel 9 to check some of the videos. And lastly, head over to Brian Keller’s blog for information on the Hands-On Labs/Demo scripts and the best way to download the VS 11 Beta Virtual Machines.
Excelsior!
