How to connect USB device to hyper-v?

Hello, I'm Andrea. I have to use Ubuntu 22.04 as a virtual machine in Hyper-V. I want to connect an USB device, GeoMagic Touch, that is an haptic robot. If I connect this robot to Windows, it works, but If I want to use this robot in Ubuntu, I can't, because the virtual machine can't see the USB device. Infact, if I run this command in the terminal: "lsusb", I can see that the virtual machine doesn't see the robot. I use Windows 11. How can I solve the problem? Best regards, Andrea.

Hi,

Unfortunately, it is not supported to pass through USB devices to VMs in Hyper-V. USB devices can only be redirected to VMs through Enhanced Session / RDP. Since it's an Ubuntu VM you can give a try to xrdp.
