How to: Set Field Properties for Views
You can set some of the same properties that are available for fields in tables because your view is part of a database. For example, you can assign captions, add comments, or set validation rules to control data entry. For more information, see Working with Fields.
To view and set properties for fields in views
Open the view in the View Designer, and click the Fields tab.
In the Selected fields list, click a field, and then Properties.
In the View Field Properties dialog box, configure the settings that you want.
When you are finished, click OK.
