Initializes a new instance of the ServiceActivationException class with a specified error message and the inner exception provided.

Namespace:  System.ServiceModel
Assembly:  System.ServiceModel (in System.ServiceModel.dll)

Syntax

'Declaration
Public Sub New ( _
    message As String, _
    innerException As Exception _
)
public ServiceActivationException(
    string message,
    Exception innerException
)

Parameters

  • message
    Type: System.String

Remarks

Use this constructor when you want to pass an error message and information about an inner exception up to the user.

An exception that is thrown as a direct result of a previous exception can include a reference to the previous exception in the InnerException property. The InnerException property returns the same value that is passed into the constructor, or a nulla null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic) reference (Nothing in Visual Basic) if the InnerException property does not supply the inner exception value to the constructor.
