Enable or disable Remote Web Workplace

Applies To: Windows SBS 2008

To make Windows SBS 2008 network features available to remote workers, you must enable the Remote Web Workplace Web site. If you want to prevent users from accessing Remote Web Workplace, you must disable the site.

Note

You must be a network administrator to complete this procedure.

To enable or disable Remote Web Workplace

  1. Open the Windows SBS Console.

  2. On the navigation bar, click Shared Folders and Web Sites.

  3. Click the Web Sites tab.

  4. Right-click Remote Web Workplace, and then do one of the following:

    • To enable Remote Web Workplace so that users can remotely access network features, click Enable this site.

    • To prevent users from accessing Remote Web Workplace, click Disable this site.
