Event ID 1075 — NFS Startup Status

Applies To: Windows Server 2008 R2

NFS clients discover NFS servers by querying the port mapper for a remote server. NFS clients can only discover and communicate with a computer running Server for NFS.

Message: Server for NFS could not create any RPC endpoints. Server for NFS did not start. Server for NFS creates RPC endpoints to receive requests from Network File System (NFS) clients. Without any RPC endpoints Server for NFS will not be able to receive any requests on this computer.

Resolve

Free system resources and restart Server for NFS

To increase available system resources:

  1. Close all programs and stop unnecessary services.
  2. Open an elevated Command Prompt window. Click Start, point to All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator.
  3. Type net start nfssvc.

Verify

To verify Server for NFS startup status:

  1. Open an elevated Command Prompt window. Click Start, point to All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator.
  2. Type net start.
  3. Verify that Server for NFS appears in the list of results.
