View COM+ partitions and partition sets

Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2

To view COM+ partitions and partition sets

  1. Open Active Directory Users and Computers.

  2. On the View menu, select Advanced Features.

  3. Do one of the following:

    • To view partitions, in the console tree, click ComPartitions.

      Where?

    • Active Directory Users and Computers/domain node/System/ComPartitions

    • To view partition sets, in the console tree, click ComPartitionSets.

      Where?

    • Active Directory Users and Computers/domain node/System/ComPartitionSets

Notes

  • Performing this task does not require you to have administrative credentials. Therefore, as a security best practice, consider performing this task as a user without administrative credentials.

  • To open Active Directory Users and Computers, click Start, click Control Panel, double-click Administrative Tools, and then double-click Active Directory Users and Computers.

  • To view the properties of a COM+ partition or partition set, right-click it, and then click Properties.
