Set security options for Macintosh volumes

Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2

To set security options for Macintosh volumes

  1. Open Computer Management.

  2. In the console tree, double-click Shares.

    Where?

    • Computer Management/System Tools/Shared Folders/Shares
  3. Right-click the volume you want to change, and then click Properties.

  4. On the General tab, select one or more of the SFM Volume Security options.

    • Password. Enter the password for this volume.

    • This volume is read-only. Changes can not be made to files in the volume.

Note

  • To open Computer Management, click Start, click Control Panel, double-click Administrative Tools, and then double-click Computer Management.
