Assign a Windows user or group to a role

To assign a Windows user or group to a role

Open Authorization Manager.
In the console tree, right-click the role to which you want to assign a user or group, and then click Assign Windows Users and Groups. The role can be at the application or scope level.

In the Select Users, Computers, or Groups dialog box, type the name of the user or group that you want to assign to the role.
Click Check Names, and then click OK.

Notes

To open Authorization Manager, click Start, click Run, and then type: azman.msc
This is one of the most common Authorization Manager procedures for administrators.
