Delegate an authorization store

Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2

To delegate an authorization store

  1. Open Authorization Manager.

  2. In the console tree, right-click Authorization Manager, and then click Open Authorization Store.

  3. In the Open Authorization Store dialog box, click Active Directory.

  4. Click Browse, find the authorization store that you want, double-click it, and then click OK.

  5. In the console tree, right-click the authorization store, and then click Properties.

  6. In the Properties dialog box, click the Security tab.

  7. Under Authorization Manager user role, click Administrator.

  8. Under Users and groups that are assigned to this role, click Add or Remove to add or remove users and groups to which you want to assign the Administrator role.

Notes

  • To open Authorization Manager, click Start, click Run, and then type: azman.msc

  • XML-based authorization stores, applications, and scopes do not support delegation.
