Check system requirements for GPMC |
You need Windows Server 2003 or Windows XP Professional Service Pack 1 (SP1) to install GPMC. Some features require a Windows Server 2003 domain controller. For details, see Deployment considerations for Group Policy. |
Install GPMC |
Follow the GPMC installation instructions from the Microsoft Web site or installation media where you obtained the installer package (GPMC.msi). Run GPMC.msi, read and accept the End User License Agreement (EULA), and finish the installation. |
Check for last-minute issues |
Consult the release notes that were installed with GPMC, in the %systemroot%\Program Files\GPMC folder. |
