Event 1031 - Centralized URL Parsing

Applies To: Windows 7, Windows Vista

Windows® Internet Explorer® 7 and Windows Internet Explorer 8 use Centralized URL Parsing (CURL) to parse URL information to verify that a Web site is not malicious, and that it conforms to the Internet Request for Comments (RFC) guidelines. If the URL does not pass the verification process, Internet Explorer 7 and Internet Explorer 8 will allow the Web page to appear; however, it will restrict the functionality, which might cause the Web page to behave unexpectedly or with limited functionality.

When Is This Event Logged?

This event is logged when a Web page does not meet the current RFC guidelines.
