<Update_Name> - Update Properties
Applies To: Windows 7, Windows Vista
The Update Properties tab of the <Update_Name> dialog box enables you to view the following information for each Microsoft® Windows update:
The update title, affected operating system, and date of release from Microsoft
The severity assessment and bulletin number, as determined by the Microsoft Response Center (MSRC)
The severity assessment and deployment status, as determined by your organization
The associated Microsoft Knowledge Base article for the update
A list of files and registry entries that might be impacted by the update
To access the Update Properties tab of the <Update_Name> dialog box
Click Analyze from the Quick Reports pane.
Click Updates from the Update Impact Reports heading in the Quick Reports pane.
The Updates screen appears.
Double-click the update for which you want to see the associated details.
The <Update_Name> dialog box appears, with the Intersecting Applications tab showing.
Click the Update Properties tab.
Using the Update Properties Tab
On the Update Properties tab of the <Update_Name> dialog box, you can perform the following actions:
Review detailed update information
Select your deployment status for the update. For more information, see Selecting Your Deployment Status.
Categorize the update. For more information, see Categorizing Your Data.
Select your severity assessment for the update. For more information, see Selecting Your Severity Assessment Rating.
