How to Enroll for a Certificate Using the Default Settings (Windows CE 5.0)
In this procedure, you will use the New Platform Wizard to create an Enterprise Web Pad for a CEPC or for an Emulator. With the Enterprise Web Pad run-time image that you create, you will enroll for a certificate from a certificate server using the default enrollment settings for Enroll.exe. For more information about the default settings, see Configuring Enroll.exe.
Hardware and Software Assumptions
- You have a Windows 2000 Certificate Server already configured. You need to know the name of your certificate server. For more information, see the Step-by-Step Guide for Setting up a Certificate Authority technical article in Microsoft TechNet.
- You have not changed the Enroll.exe sample and you are not using an enrollment .cfg file.
- Your Platform Builder installation includes CEPC x86 and Emulator x86 board support packages.
- You have a CEPC with an ethernet connection already configured. For more information about configuring a CEPC, see How to Set Up a CEPC and How to Use the Command Line to Create, Customize, and Build a Run-Time Image.
