Exporting Items from the Catalog (Windows CE 5.0)
You can export a Catalog item from a Catalog item (.cec) file on your hard drive. You can also export projects that you have created.
To export items from the Catalog
From the Platform menu, select Export Wizard.
On the Welcome to the Export Wizard page, choose Next.
For each item you want to add to the Microsoft Windows Installer (.msi) file, do one of the following:
- Choose Add a .cec File; then in the Add Catalog File dialog box, select the .cec file containing the items you want to export and choose Add.
- Choose Add a Project; then in the Add Project dialog box, select the project you want to export and choose Add.
(Optional) If you want to remove an item, file, or project, in the Export field, select the item you want to remove and then choose Remove.
When you finish selecting items for export, choose Next.
(Optional) To add a folder to your installation file, choose Add Directory.

To add a file to your installation file, choose Add File.
When you finish configuring the selection of directories and files, choose Next.
On the Microsoft Windows Installer File page, complete the following:
In the Path and file name box, enter the full path where the installer package will be created, using the following format:
C:\WINCE500\NewMSI\NewMSI.msi(Optional) In the Vendor box, enter your company name.
(Optional) In the Title box, enter a title for the installation package.
(Optional) In the Description box, enter a description for the installation package.
(Optional) In the Locale list, select a language for the installation package.

Choose Next.
(Optional) If you want to include a license agreement (EULA), select Includeend-user license agreement; then, in the EULA box, enter or browse to the full path for the file containing your EULA.
The EULA must be in the Rich Text Format (.rtf) file format.
(Optional) If you want to include a custom readme file displayed at installation time, select Include readme file and enter or browse to the full path for the text file containing your custom readme file.
You can use the following file formats: text (.txt), Microsoft Word (.doc), Rich Text Format (.rtf), or Hypertext Markup Language (.htm, .html) files.
Choose Next.
Choose Finish to build your installer package.
