Supporting KITL in an OS Design (Windows CE 5.0)

The Kernel Independent Transport Layer (KITL) provides a hardware-independent mechanism for communication between the development workstation and a target device. For more information about KITL, see Kernel Independent Transport Layer.

To support KITL in an OS design

  1. In the Platform Builder IDE, from the Platform menu, choose Settings.
  2. Choose the Build Options tab.
  3. Select the Enable KITL check box and then choose OK.

You must next build the run-time image to add support for KITL. For more information, see Building a Run-Time Image.
