Running a Targeted Build (Windows CE 5.0)
If you built a run-time image based on your OS design and want to modify files in your OS design, you can run a targeted build. This speeds the development process by removing the need to run a full build each time a change is made.
To run a targeted build, make sure you have sources and dirs files that create a complete path in the OS tree to the location of the changed files.
To run a targeted build
After you have made changes to files in your OS design, in the Workspace window, on the FileView tab, navigate to the node containing the files that you changed.
Select the node.
From the context menu, configure and select a build command to run.
By default, the first time you create a workspace, the menu options Make Image After Build and Copy Files to Release Directory After Build are selected. Changes to the menu options that you can select persist on a per-workspace basis.
