Native 802.11 Wireless LAN OIDs (Compact 2013)

3/26/2014

Miniport drivers that support the Native 802.11 interface for IEEE 802.11 network adapters must support all mandatory Native 802.11 OIDs. For some OIDs, support is optional.

In addition, miniport drivers that support the Native 802.11 interface must support the mandatory NDIS general OIDS.

The Native 802.11 OIDs can be queried through Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI). The Native 802.11 OIDs cannot be set through WMI.

The Native 802.11 OIDs are defined in Windot11.h. When you are building a driver that supports these OIDs, include Ndis.h.

This section describes the Native 802.11 OIDs.

In This Section

  • Native 802.11 MIB OIDs
Defines the OIDs that query and set the IEEE 802.11 MIB objects that are supported by the miniport driver
  • Native 802.11 Network Monitor OIDs
Defines the Native 802.11 object identifiers (OIDs) that are valid for set or query requests when the miniport driver is operating in Network Monitor (NetMon) mode
  • Native 802.11 Terminology
Defines the terms that indicate the functionality that is implemented by the wireless LAN (WLAN) software and hardware
