The Windows Embedded Compact core OS consists of the kernel and other features that are common to all Windows Embedded Compact OS designs.

  • CeLog Event Tracking
    CeLog is a general-purpose event-tracking tool that logs a set of predefined kernel and coredll events; it can also be used anywhere to log user-defined events, or to control event tracking.
  • Core OS Services
    Core OS services give applications access to the resources of the computer and to the features of the underlying OS, such as memory, file systems, devices, processes, and threads.
  • Kernel
    The kernel provides the base OS functionality for any Windows Embedded Compact powered device.
  • OOM Handling
    The out-of-memory (OOM) model uses several thresholds, adjustable by registry, to provide different level of available memory for different types of components.
