Bluetooth Smart Pairing Registry Settings (Compact 2013)

This topic describes the registry entries that configure the Bluetooth Smart Pairing features.

You can configure Smart Pairing by using these registry entries, located in the key [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\Bluetooth].

Interval between retry attempts in milliseconds. Valid values range from '0' (disable) through '20,000' (20 seconds).

By default this key does not exist and the default applies.

PinEntries

REG_MULTI_SZ

A string of from 1 through 16 characters for each PIN code.

"0000","8888"

Remarks

During the pairing process, each PIN code in PinEntries will be used in an attempt to pair. If a key is unsuccessful, then the next PIN code will be attempted. Only the first three valid PIN codes will be attempted, while all other entries are ignored. If the entire PIN code set is unable to pair the devices, the pairing application will present the user with the standard PIN entry dialog interface.
