Tools Menu Options (Windows Embedded CE 6.0)

The options on the Tools menu enable you to work with the windows you can create in the Visual Studio environment. When you have installed Windows Embedded CE 6.0, these menu options include options specific to Platform Builder for CE.

For information about menu options not specific to Windows Embedded CE 6.0, see the Visual Studio documentation.

To view and use these options, from the Tools menu, select Platform Builder for CE 6.0.

The following table provides information about Platform Builder for CE 6.0 options.

Options Description

Clone BSP

Opens dialog options that enable you to choose the BSP that you want to clone and add to your OS design.

License Run-Time Image

Opens dialog options that enable you to license a run-time image with a run-time key that you have obtained from a distributor.

Run-time License Assessment Tool

Opens the Run-time License Assessment Tool, which enables you to determine the licenses that your OS design requires.

CE Update Check

Opens the CEUpdateCheck tool, which enables you to check your Windows Embedded CE 6.0 installation for any updates.

The following table displays additional options that are found on the Tools menu.

Option Description

Windows Embedded CE Test Kit

Opens the Windows Embedded CE 6.0 Test Kit (CETK), which you can use to test device drivers that you develop for the Windows Embedded CE operating system.

Import and Export Settings

Opens the Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Import and Export Settings Wizard, which you can use to import and export selected environment settings.

Customize

Opens the Customize dialog box, which you can use to customize the appearance of Visual Studio 2005 toolbars and selected commands.

Options

Opens the Options Dialog Box, which you can use to view and modify global settings for Visual Studio 2005 and for Platform Builder for Windows Embedded CE 6.0.
