Options Dialog Box: OS Design and Build: General (Compact 2013)

Use this page of the Options Dialog Box to configure Platform Builder global settings. To display this page, go to Platform Builder > OS Design and Build in the left pane of the dialog box. These settings affect all OS designs that you open in Platform Builder.

Option

Description

Current default OS build tree (WINCEROOT)

Type the path or browse to the directory that you want to use as your default root directory, typically C:\WINCE800.

Tools only (no WINCEROOT selected)

Select this option if you do not have a full Platform Builder installation on your development computer. This option is useful when source control is used.

Automatically detect number of processors

Select this option to have Platform Builder automatically detect the number of processors that you want to use in the build process. This option is useful if you want to perform multiprocessor builds, which can reduce the amount of time required for a build to complete.This option sets the environment variable BUILD_MULTIPROCESSOR. Manually specify number of processors

Select this option to manually specify the number of processors that are installed on your development computer. This option is useful if you want to perform multiprocessor builds, which can reduce the amount of time required for a build to complete.
