CeSHCreateShortcut (RAPI) (Windows CE 5.0)

This function creates a shortcut.

CeSHCreateShortcut is a remote application programming interface (RAPI), which enables an application running on a desktop computer to make function calls on a Windows CE–based device.

BOOLCeSHCreateShortcut(LPWSTRlpszShortcut, LPWSTRlpszTarget);

Parameters

  • lpszShortcut
    [in] Pointer to a null-terminated string that contains the name of the shortcut to create. Passing a NULL value for this parameter will cause an exception
  • lpszTarget
    [in] Pointer to a null-terminated string that contains the target path of the shortcut. The size of the buffer is limited to 256 characters.

Return Values

TRUE indicates success. FALSE indicates failure.

Remarks

When writing applications for Windows CE 1.0 and 1.01, use the PegSHCreateShortcut function.
