CeGlobalMemoryStatus (RAPI) (Windows CE 5.0)

Send Feedback

This function gets information on the physical and virtual memory of the system.

CeGlobalMemoryStatus is a remote application programming interface (RAPI), which enables an application running on a desktop computer to make function calls on a Windows CE–based device.

voidCeGlobalMemoryStatus( LPMEMORYSTATUSlpmst);

Parameters

  • lpmst
    [out] Pointer to a MEMORYSTATUS structure. The GlobalMemoryStatus function stores information about current memory availability into this structure.

Return Values

None.

Note   This function generates a RAPI level error if it cannot properly marshal parameters between the mobile device and the desktop computer. In this case, you can trace the error by calling the CeRapiGetError function.

Remarks

You can use the GlobalMemoryStatus function to determine how much memory your application can allocate without severely impacting other applications.

The information returned by the GlobalMemoryStatus function is volatile. There is no guarantee that two sequential calls to this function will return the same information.

When working with RAPI for Windows CE 1.0 and 1.01, use the PegGlobalMemoryStatus function.

Requirements

OS Versions: Windows CE 2.0 and later.
Header: Rapi.h.
