IUPnPDevice::FriendlyName (Windows CE 5.0)

This method returns the device display name for the device.

HRESULT get_FriendlyName(BSTR* pbstr);

Parameters

  • pbstr
    [out] Receives a reference to a string that contains the device display name. This string must be released when it is no longer required.

Return Values

  • S_OK
    This method was successful.

Otherwise, the method returns one of the COM error codes defined in WinError.h.

Remarks

It is possible for multiple devices to have the same display name. To determine if two device objects describe the same device, use the unique device name. For more information, see IUPnPDevice::UniqueDeviceName.

OS Versions: Windows CE .NET 4.0 and later.
Header: Upnp.h.
Link Library: Uuid.lib.
