Catalog Item Creation (Windows CE 5.0)
To create a Catalog item you can display in the Catalog, you create a Catalog item (.cec) file. You can use any text editor or the CEC Editor.
The .cec file contains information about your Catalog item, which can include the following:
The location of the item in the Catalog
The relation of the item to other Catalog items
A list of CPUs supported by your Catalog item.
A list of relationships between your Catalog item and other Catalog items.
Your Catalog item might contain numerous implementations, or it might be part of a larger Catalog item group.
The placement of the item in the Catalog.
The location of the sources, dirs, and makefile files used by the build system.
The assignment of a variable to your Catalog item.
When your Catalog item is included in an OS design, the variable is used to instruct the build system to include your item during the build process.
A list of variables that your Catalog item sets.
A list options available in the Platform Settings dialog box.
The compiled Help file that is included in the SDK installation package when a user exports a custom SDK for an OS design containing your Catalog item.
