Building an SDK (Windows CE 5.0)

Before you can build an SDK, you must use the SDK Wizard to create an SDK for the OS design. For more information about creating an SDK, see Configuring an SDK.

To build an SDK

  1. If you have not built a run-time image for your OS design or if you modified your OS design after configuring the SDK, build a run-time image.

For more information, see Building a Run-Time Image.

  2. From the Platform menu, choose SDK and then choose Build SDK.

  3. If a Warning dialog box appears, read the warning and choose OK.

The SDK Wizard displays the location of the Microsoft® Windows® Installer (.msi) file for the SDK and information about the build process.

  4. For future reference, note the location of the .msi file.

  5. After the build completes, to close the wizard, choose Done.
