NdisFreeString (Windows CE 5.0)

Send Feedback

This function releases storage that was allocated for a buffered string.

VOID NdisFreeString(NDIS_STRING String);

Parameters

  • String
    [in] Pointer to the buffer containing the string.

Return Values

None.

Remarks

Drivers usually call the NdisInitializeString, and NdisInitAnsiString functions when they are initializing, for example, to set up names passed to the NdisXXXConfiguration functions. For each call it makes to an NdisXXXString function, the driver should make a corresponding call to this function before its initialization function returns control.

NDIS drivers can also call this function to release buffers that they allocate for calls to the NdisAnsiStringToUnicodeString and NdisUnicodeStringToAnsiString functions.
