Windows Sidebar Object Reference

The Windows Sidebar and gadget architecture consists of three components. The functionality of these components is exposed through the scripting elements described in this section.

This section describes the Sidebar scripting elements that provide gadget functionality, such as Sidebar and gadget state and event handling.
Gadgets for Windows Sidebar - System Object Reference
This section describes the Sidebar scripting elements that provide access to system functionality, such as file, network, and operating system information.
Gadgets for Windows Sidebar - Presentation Object Reference
This section describes the three Sidebar scripting elements that define gadget presentation functionality such as backgrounds, images, and text handling. These elements are composed of g:background, g:text, and g:image along with the gimage protocol (described in more detail in Developing a Gadget for Windows Sidebar Part 2: The G:BACKGROUND, G:IMAGE, G:TEXT Presentation Elements and GIMAGE Protocol).
