ExchangeUtils.CreateMailbox Method
The CreateMailbox(ConnectedMA,ReferenceValue,String,String,long,long,long,Byte[],Boolean) method creates a mailbox in Exchange Server 2000 or Exchange Server 2003 with certain properties, depending on which arguments are supplied.

Parameters
TargetADMA
The Active Directory management agent through which the new object is provisioned.DistinguishedName
The distinguished name of the mailbox.Alias
The mail alias of the mailbox.HomeMDB
The location of the mailbox store.StoreQuota
The limit, in kilobytes, to the amount of disk space that the user is allowed to use to store their mail messages. If this quota is exceeded, the user receives a warning message.OverQuotaLimit
The additional disk space, in kilobytes, that the user gets to store their mail messages. If this quota is exceeded, the user cannot send mail but can receive mail.HardLimit
The additional disk space, in kilobytes, that the user gets to store their mail messages. If this quota is exceeded, the user can neither send mail nor receive mail.LogonAccountSID
The security identifier for the account.Exchange2003InetOrgPerson
Whether the account is an Exchange 2003 Internet account.
Return Value
Returns a CSEntry representing the connected data source entry.
Exceptions
Exception type | Condition |
---|---|
ArgumentException | A required parameter is not present. |
ArgumentNullException | A required parameter is null. |
ArgumentOutOfRangeException | A limit is too large or too small. |
AttributeNotInInclusionListException | A required attribute is not selected in the management agent. |
InvalidOperationException | You attempted to create the same custom recipient more than once in the IMVSynchronization.Provision method. This method is called for each metaverse object when a metaverse rules extension exists. |
NoSuchObjectTypeException | The object type referenced is not in the schema. |
Remarks
To use the default mailbox limits, set StoreQuota, OverQuotaLimit, and HardLimit to 0 (zero).
