The Server Object Model

The server object model is used to control, configure, and monitor a Windows Media server. The following diagram identifies the interfaces of the server object model.

You must use the WMSServer object to acquire the interfaces. This object contains properties and methods for accessing specific plug-in collections, limits, counters, connections, and publishing point objects. You can use C, C++, C#, Visual Basic®, or a scripting language to program the object model. The following sections discuss each of the interface types identified by the preceding diagram:
