FindTModel.Send Method

Note: The Microsoft UDDI SDK is not supported by or included in Microsoft Windows versions after Microsoft Windows Server 7. The Microsoft UDDI V3 SDK is included with Microsoft BizTalk Server. For more information about the Microsoft UDDI V3 SDK, see Microsoft BizTalk Server documentation
Transmits the FindTModel(String) request to a UDDI server.

Namespace: Microsoft.Uddi
Assembly: microsoft.uddi (in microsoft.uddi.dll)

Usage

Visual Basic
  Dim instance As FindTModel
Dim uddiConnection As UddiConnection
Dim returnValue As TModelList
returnValue = instance.Send(uddiConnection)

Syntax

'Declaration
PublicFunctionSend ( _
    uddiConnectionAsUddiConnection _
) AsTModelList
publicTModelListSend (
    UddiConnectionuddiConnection
)
public:
TModelList^ Send (
    UddiConnection^ uddiConnection
)
publicTModelListSend (
    UddiConnectionuddiConnection
)
publicfunctionSend (
    uddiConnection : UddiConnection
) : TModelList

Parameters

  • uddiConnection
    The UddiConnection through which the find request is sent to the UDDI server.

Return Value

Returns a TModelList that contains a list of tModels matching the search criteria.

Example

The following example shows how to use the Visual C# .NET programming language to send a request to the UDDI server by using the Send method.

static void GetCategorizationSchemesExample( UddiConnection validConnection )
{
   FindTModel getTModel = new FindTModel();
    getTModel.CategoryBag.Add( CommonCanonical.UddiOrgTypes, "categorization", "Categorization (taxonomy)" );
   TModelList list = new TModelList();
   list = getTModel.Send( validConnection );
}

The following example shows how to use the Visual Basic .NET programming language to send a request to the UDDI server by using the Send method.

Sub GetCategorizationSchemesExample(ByVal conn As UddiConnection)
    Dim getTModel As New FindTModel
    getTModel.CategoryBag.Add(TModels.CommonCanonical.UddiOrgTypes, "categorization", "Categorization (taxonomy)")

    Dim list As New TModelList
    list = getTModel.Send(conn)
End Sub

Remarks

Many UDDI servers restrict the number of matching tModels that they return for a find request. If your find request exceeds the number set by a UDDI server, the result is truncated. When the result is truncated, the UDDI server sets the Truncated property of the resulting TModelList to true.

Thread Safety

Any public static (Shared in Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
