Edit Box Builder

The Edit Box builder makes it easy to set properties for an edit box control. Edit boxes are commonly used to display long Character fields or Memo fields and allow the user to edit text. An edit box can also display text from a text file or from the clipboard. You set properties for the edit box control by selecting options in the Edit Box Builder dialog box.

To use the Edit Box builder

  1. Using the Form Controls toolbar, place an edit box control on a form.

  2. Select and right-click the edit box control, and then choose Builder from the Form Designer shortcut menu.

A dialog box appropriate to the selected control appears.

  3. Choose the options you want from the dialog box, and then choose OK.

When you choose OK, the builder closes, applying the property settings from every tab.
