Create a duplicate project

In Blend for Visual Studio 2012, you can create copies of your projects. These copies are exact replicas of the project that you are working on. When you save a copy of a project, the original project remains open in Blend.

To create a copy of your project

  1. With a project open in Blend, do one of the following:

    • Press Ctrl+Shift+P.

    • On the File menu, click Save Copy of Project.

    [!REMARQUE]

If you have not yet saved recent changes to your project, you will be prompted to save before duplicating your project.

  2. Type a unique name for your project in the Name field.

  3. If you want to change the location of your project folder, click the Browse button, or enter a path in the Location field.

  4. Click OK.

A duplicate of your project is created, and your original project is still open in Blend. If the original project was under source control, the duplicate project will not be.
