Protection Tab, Report Control Properties Dialog Box (Report Builder)
Makes it possible for you to set restrictions on selected actions for a report control in the Report Designer or Label Designer, preventing the user from changing the control when modifying the report or label in protected mode. For more information, see Setting Protection for Reports.
When in PROTECTED mode
Specifies protection options for the report control.
- Object cannot be moved or resized
Specifies that users cannot move or resize the report control when modifying the report or label in protected mode.
- Properties dialog box is not available
Specifies that users cannot edit the report control when modifying the report or label in protected mode.
- Objects cannot be deleted
Specifies that users cannot delete the report control when modifying the report or label in protected mode.
- Objects cannot be selected
Specifies that users cannot select the report control when modifying the report or label in protected mode.
- Object is not visible in Designer
Specifies that the report control is not visible in the designer when modifying the report or label in protected mode.
Design-time caption
(Field controls only)Specifies a text string that is displayed in the Field control instead of the Field Expression when modifying the layout in protected mode.
