Arrange images and hotspots

After you have placed the images and hotspots that you want on the artboard in the Compose workspace, you can manipulate them by aligning them, or by distributing them horizontally or vertically. Deep Zoom Composer provides an option to arrange your images and hotspots automatically into a grid layout, and provides additional options for other kinds of arrangements.

To arrange images and hotspots automatically in a grid

  1. In the Compose workspace, in the Images panel, select the images and hotspots that you want to arrange into a grid. To select multiple images and hotspots, hold CTRL and click the images and hotspots that you want, or hold SHIFT and click a range of images and hotspots.

  2. Right-click any selected image or hotspot, and click Arrange into Grid.

  3. In the Arrange into Grid dialog box, determine the maximum number or rows or columns your grid will have by doing the following:

    1. Choose Rows or Columns in the Constrain by drop-down box.

    2. Choose a number or rows or columns in the Number of rows or Number of columns box.

  4. Add any padding (in pixels) that you want around each image or hotspot in the grid.

  5. If you want to preview the grid of images and hotspots before finalizing your arrangement, click Apply.

  6. Click OK to return to your composition.

    Note

You can also arrange images and hotspots that are already on the artboard into a grid by right-clicking any selected image or hotspot, pointing to Arrange, and then clicking Arrange into Grid. When you use the Arrange into Grid feature, all selected images and hotspots will be resized to a uniform size.
