ManagementPackAssemblyWriterSettings.DelaySign Property

[This topic is pre-release documentation and is subject to change in future releases. Blank topics are included as placeholders.]

Gets or sets a value that indicates whether the assembly is fully signed.

Namespace: Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Configuration.IO
Assembly: Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Core (in Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Core.dll)

Usage

'Usage
Dim instance As ManagementPackAssemblyWriterSettings
Dim value As Boolean

value = instance.DelaySign

instance.DelaySign = value

Syntax

'Declaration
Public Property DelaySign As Boolean
public bool DelaySign { get; set; }
public:
property bool DelaySign {
    bool get ();
    void set (bool value);
}
/** @property */
public boolean get_DelaySign ()

/** @property */
public void set_DelaySign (boolean value)
public function get DelaySign () : boolean

public function set DelaySign (value : boolean)

Property Value

Type: Boolean.

Returns a Boolean value that is used in the DelaySign flag when the assembly is created.

Remarks

This property value is used in the DelaySign flag when the assembly is created. Set this value to false if you want the assembly to be fully signed, and set this value to true if you want to place the public key in the assembly and reserve space for the signed hash.

When you request a fully signed assembly, the compiler hashes the file that contains the manifest (assembly metadata) and signs that hash with the private key. The resulting digital signature is stored in the file that contains the manifest. When an assembly is delay signed, the compiler does not compute and store the signature but reserves space in the file so that the signature can be added later.

Thread Safety

Any public static (Shared in Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
