Gets a property value by name and type if one exists.

Parameters

  • type
    The type to search.
  • name
    The name of the property.
  • simpleObject
    When this method returns, contains the property value. This parameter is passed uninitialized.

Return Value

true if the property was found and returned; otherwise, false.

Exceptions

Exception type Condition
ArgumentNullException

The name parameter is a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic).
ArgumentException

The property does not exist.
ObjectNotUniqueException

More than one property matched the name and type.

Thread Safety

Any public static (Shared in Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
