WorksheetFunction.CritBinom Method
Returns the smallest value for which the cumulative binomial distribution is greater than or equal to a criterion value.
Namespace: Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel
Assembly: Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel (in Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.dll)
Syntax
'Declaration
Function CritBinom ( _
Arg1 As Double, _
Arg2 As Double, _
Arg3 As Double _
) As Double
'Usage
Dim instance As WorksheetFunction
Dim Arg1 As Double
Dim Arg2 As Double
Dim Arg3 As Double
Dim returnValue As Double
returnValue = instance.CritBinom(Arg1, _
Arg2, Arg3)
double CritBinom(
double Arg1,
double Arg2,
double Arg3
)
Parameters
Arg1
Type: System.DoubleThe number of Bernoulli trials.
Arg2
Type: System.DoubleThe probability of a success on each trial.
Arg3
Type: System.DoubleThe criterion value.
Return Value
Type: System.Double
Remarks
Use this function for quality assurance applications. For example, use CritBinom to determine the greatest number of defective parts that are allowed to come off an assembly line run without rejecting the entire lot.
If any argument is nonnumeric, CritBinom generates an error.
If trials is not an integer, it is truncated.
If trials < 0, CritBinom generates an error.
If probability_s is < 0 or probability_s > 1, CritBinom generates an error.
If alpha < 0 or alpha > 1, CritBinom generates an error.
