Anti-Spam Configuration

Although you can choose to use a registry-based configuration mechanism, the following Active Directory® directory service schema additions are included in Microsoft® Exchange Server 2003:

The ms-Exch-Uce-Store-Action-Threshold Attribute must be set in Active Directory. All other custom filter specific configuration values (such as the ms-Exch-Uce-Block-Threshold Attribute) should not be set on the Microsoft UCE Content Filter object. These other values can be set on a separate Active Directory object of the ms-Exch-Uce Class, or they can be stored elsewhere (such as in the registry) because each custom implementation reads these values for its own configuration.

The following object type has been defined under the Default Message Delivery container to hold the global configuration settings. This object is specific to Microsoft; however, you can define new objects.

CN=UCE Content Filter,CN=Message Delivery,CN=Global Settings,CN=OrgNAme,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=ServerName,DC=example,DC=com

For information about how to create the object and about the configuration data on the object, see the following topics:
