TRUECOLOR

The TRUECOLOR macro returns the TRUECOLORINFO structure from a VIDEOINFO structure. The TRUECOLORINFO structure contains color bitmasks followed by palette information, and is used for true-color images (16 bit or higher) that contain palettes.

Syntax

  TRUECOLORINFO(
  pbmi
  )

Parameters

pbmi

Pointer to a VIDEOINFO structure.

Return Value

Returns a pointer to a TRUECOLORINFO structure.

Remarks

This macro calculates the address as an offset from the start of the BITMAPINFOHEADER structure, using the value of bmiHeader.biSize. Make sure to initialize the VIDEOINFO structure before calling this macro.

Requirements

**  Header:** Declared in Amvideo.h; include Streams.h.

**  Library:** Use Strmbase.lib (retail builds) or Strmbasd.lib (debug builds).
