WinEvents
Microsoft Active Accessibility provides a mechanism called WinEvents that allows servers and the operating system to notify clients when an accessible object changes in some manner.
This section provides suggestions, guidelines, and examples to help clients handle WinEvents and to help servers determine when to trigger the appropriate WinEvent. This section discusses the following topics:
- What Are WinEvents?
- System-Level and Object-Level Events
- Registering a Hook Function
- In-Context and Out-of-Context Hook Functions
- Guarding Against Reentrancy in Hook Functions
- Alerts
For an overview of the event notification process, see WinEvents in the Technical Overview.
