Deleting Groups

Since a group is simply a specific type of Active Directory Domain Services object, a group can be deleted by using the same process that is used for deleting any other Active Directory Domain Services object. Deleting a group only removes the group itself from Active Directory Domain Services. It does not delete the objects, such as domain users, that are members of the group. For more information about deleting directory objects, see Deleting Directory Objects.
