Use Search Connector Space to Disconnect a Connector Object

For this procedure, in Search Connector Space, you can disconnect a connector object that was joined during a previous management agent run. To complete this procedure, you must be logged on as a member of the FIMSyncAdmins security group.

To use Search Connector Space to disconnect a connector object

  1. On the Tools menu, click Management Agents.

  2. In Management Agents, click a management agent with an associated connector space.

  3. On the Actions menu, click Search Connector Space.

  4. In Search Connector Space, in Search Results, click the object, and then click Properties.

  5. In Connector Space object properties, click the Lineage tab, and then click Metaverse Object Properties.

  6. Click the Connectors tab, click the object you want to disconnect, and then click Disconnect.

Warning

To reconnect a disconnected connector space object, you can use Joiner to join the object, or run the management agent in Full Synchronization or Full Import and Delta Synchronization mode. If the object is made an explicit disconnector, to join the object again, you must use Joiner. When using Joiner to join an object, it is not necessary to run the management agent again to affect the join.

Note

To perform this procedure, you must first search for an object and at least one column in Search Results must be populated. If you have performed a search, but you do not see a populated list in Search Results, you might need to configure additional columns so that they appear in Search Results. For more information about configuring search result columns, see See Also.
