IDE Tab, Options Dialog Box
Contains options for Visual FoxPro editors.
Specify file/window
Makes it possible for you to specify which file types are affected by setting made in this tab.
Type:
Makes it possible for you to specify the editors or the types of files for which you are specifying default editing conditions.Extensions:
Specifies the file extensions of the type of files selected.Override individual settings
Makes it possible for you to temporarily override default FoxUser settings.
Indentation
Makes it possible for you to specify the size and behavior of spaces and tabs.
Tab size
Specifies the width, in characters, of a tab for the currently selected file type. The range is 1 to 50. The default value is 4.Indent size
Specifies the width, in characters, of a paragraph indent for the currently selected file type. If this is different from the tab size, extra tabs and/or spaces are used to create the specified value. The range is 1 to 50. The default value is 4.Insert spaces
Specifies that spaces be inserted by the tab key for the currently selected file type. The default value is 4.Keep tabs
Specifies that tabs be inserted by the tab key for the currently selected file type (default).
Save options
Makes it possible for you to specify how files of the selected type are saved.
Make backup
For some file types, specifies whether a backup file is created whenever you save a file of that file type.Save with line feeds
Specifies that the current file type be saved with return and linefeed characters CHR(13)+CHR(10).Save with end-of-file marker
Specifies that the current file type be saved with CTRL+Z at the end of the file.Compile before saving
Specifies that a compile be attempted before the current file type is saved.
Appearance and behavior
Makes it possible for you to specify how text appears in the selected file type.
Alignment:
Specifies whether the current file type is left-, center-, or right-formatted.Font:
Specifies the font, style, size, and script of the current file type.Use font script
Specifies that the current font script is used globally throughout Visual FoxPro. If this check box is not selected, Visual FoxPro uses the Windows default font script.Drag-and-drop editing
Specifies whether subsequent files of the selected file type provide drag-and-drop behavior. To disable drag-and-drop, you must also select the override individual settings check box. These selections, once applied, work on all files of the selected file types subsequently opened.Automatic indent
Makes it possible for you to specify that an indent is automatically retained in lines subsequent to an indented line.Show line/column position
Makes it possible for you to display, in the main window status line, the line and column number of the cursor in Memo fieldsWord wrap
For some file types, makes it possible for you to specify whether words wrap to the next line at the editor window boundary.Syntax coloring
Makes it possible for you to specify whether syntax coloring is available for the selected file type. You can manage syntax color parameters in the Editor Tab, Options Dialog Box.Embedded hyperlinks
Makes it possible for you to specify whether hyperlinks can be included in the selected file type. Unvisited, visited, and hover attributes are available if you have Internet Explorer installed.Display white space
Makes it possible for you to specify whether space, tab, paragraph, and other non-character markers are displayed in editors for the selected file type.
Apply button
Saves pending settings for the currently selected file type.
Reset All button
Resets the Visual FoxPro defaults for the selected file type. To reset all type settings, you must use the Specify file/window list, then click Reset All for each file type in the list.
