SecurityTokenServiceClient.BeginRenewSecurityTokenResponse Method

Begins an asynchronous request to a security token service to renew a security token using the response from a previous request.

Namespace: Microsoft.Web.Services3.Security
Assembly: Microsoft.Web.Services3 (in microsoft.web.services3.dll)

Usage

'Usage
Dim request As RequestSecurityTokenResponse
Dim callback As AsyncCallback
Dim state As Object
Dim returnValue As IAsyncResult
Dim securityTokenServiceClient1 As SecurityTokenServiceClient
returnValue = securityTokenServiceClient1.BeginRenewSecurityTokenResponse(request, callback, state)

Syntax

'Declaration
Public Overridable Function BeginRenewSecurityTokenResponse( _
    ByVal request As RequestSecurityTokenResponse, _
    ByVal callback As AsyncCallback, _
    ByVal state As Object _
) As IAsyncResult
public virtual IAsyncResult BeginRenewSecurityTokenResponse(
    RequestSecurityTokenResponse request,
    AsyncCallback callback,
    object state
);
public:
virtual IAsyncResult^ BeginRenewSecurityTokenResponse(
    RequestSecurityTokenResponse^ request,
    AsyncCallback^ callback,
    Object^ state
);
public virtual IAsyncResult BeginRenewSecurityTokenResponse(
    RequestSecurityTokenResponse request,
    AsyncCallback callback,
    System.Object state
);
public function BeginRenewSecurityTokenResponse(
     request : RequestSecurityTokenResponse,
     callback : AsyncCallback,
     state : Object
) : IAsyncResult;

Parameters

  • callback
    An AsyncCallback that is called when the asynchronous operation is completed. If callback is null, the delegate is not called.
  • state
    An object that contains state information for this request.

Return Value

An IAsyncResult that contains the details of the asynchronous request.

Remarks

The SecurityContextTokenService security token service does not support this type of request and throws a TrustFault exception if one is received.

Use this IssueSecurityTokenResponse overload when multiple messages must be exchanged between the SOAP sender and the security token service. Multiple messages may be required if a security token service uses a challenge/response mechanism to authenticate the SOAP message sender.
