The time to wait for a response from a SendRequestResponse operation for all soap clients.

Property Value

The time, in milliseconds, to wait for a response from a synchronous request. The default value is 120000 (2 minutes).

Exceptions

Exception type Condition
ArgumentOutOfRangeException

The DefaultTimeout property is set to a value less than or equal to zero, not including -1.

Remarks

When you set the DefaultTimeout property, it affects only the SoapClient instances created after the property is set.

Setting the DefaultTimeout property to -1 specifies that the time-out is infinite.

Thread Safety

Any public static (Shared in Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
